M.D.D.L Architecture:
M.D.D.L - Multi Disciplinary Design Lab is an emerging architectural and design studio established in 2019 by architects and architectural researchers Katerina Scoufaridou and Harris Karakannas. Both architects are graduates of the prestigious Architectural Association School of Architecture ( AA ) and are certified members of the ARB and “ΕΤΕΚ”.
Since its inception, the studio has been involved in a wide range of design projects ranging from furniture design to complex architectural projects and master plans. The studio’s creative approach to each proposal is unique, parameter-driven regardless of the scheme’s scale, and is informed by the input of a diverse group of experienced consultants the office collaborates with.
The team constantly experiments with alternative methods of design, new techniques of 3D modeling and explores different approaches to structural systems to actualize a non-conforming approach to architecture that is informed by advanced engineering. The unconventional approach to design defines the distinctive character of the work produced by the firm.

The design is the result of experimentation with structural systems applied in architectural projects and interpreted as furniture pieces.
The Chair is composed of a birch plywood sceleton and a high strength plexiglass base and backrest.
