Design Requirements:
The plot of this residential development is located in Geri and sits adjacent to the main road connecting Geri to Nicosia. The plot sits at a substantial height difference from the road and features panoramic views toward the green agricultural fields of the area. The land surrounding the plot on all other sides is public (green) land reserved for the planting of trees.
Design Approach:
The design of the residence follows a grid which was derived from the shape of the plot. The aim of the design was to cut off potential visual access and noise from the road and open up all living areas towards the views of the green fields. The residence features four en suite bedrooms, spacious living areas, storage areas, and covered parking for two cars all arranged within 280sqm.
The minimalist yet sculptural form of the residence blends seamlessly with the surrounding environment. The floor-to-ceiling windows and sliding panels allow for natural sunlight to permeate through the internal spaces while also framing the beautiful landscape.
