Design Requirements:
The plot of this residential development is located in Aglantzia Nicosia. The site is situate on the highest peak before the buffer zone and features panoramic, unobstructed views towards the mountains of "Pentadaktilos".
The requirements for this project was to design a three floor residential building which will service young professionals and families.
Design Approach:
The form of the proposed design extends horizontally on each floor in a radial direction. The aim of the arrangement is to provide privacy to the lower apartments by increasing the distance between the living areas and the adjacent buildings. However, the distance between the development and the existing buildings is reduced on each floor as the view opens up and becomes less obstructed.
Furthermore, 2/3 of the apartments in the proposed building feature very large North facing balconies with unobstructed view towards the beautiful mountains of "Pentadaktilos"
